Green Ayre

The motley crew assembled at Green Ayre and without much ado we set off with the aid and assistance from Head Hare Hash Drunk to keep us on the straight & narrow - we headed off through the old Kingsway carpark, and up onto the Ridge, but before long we were off on a dog leg along and over the canal, then back on track after a few checks up towards Williamson Park - here the trail split into two just to confuse us hounds of very little brain, as the horn went one way and others went the other.

A check back out of the park confirmed that the route was along Coulston Road, right along Bowerham Road and down past St Martins to the Pointer roundabout, the Horn stopped to have a chat with a friend which gave us all a chance to catch up!  But we lost our advantage by taking a wrong turn into White Cross which confused the gatekeeper , no sign of any chalk so we returned only to find that the real trail was along the canal to the Water Witch, on over towards Lindow Square, in front of the Girls Grammar, another check took us along Fenton Street and we could hear the horn blowing behind us as we headed up to the Castle, decided that the arrow didn't really direct us into the Priory so we went round the back and down towards the river for a lovely view of the new bridge and back to Green Ayre where Bubbles looked pleased to see us.

No More Cum led us in the circle, Down Downs for Forever Blowing and Pick Me Up - apparently we had inside knowledge of the route - which must explain why we trailed round White Cross looking for flour!  There were also down downs for Phil - we must think of a name for him!! And No More Cum for their First hash run with the Lune Valley Hash. On On On to the John Of Gaunt for Jazz Dogs and Sausages.
