Undaunted by the remnants of Storm Boelo, our intrepid hares - White Noise and Off His Trolley - donned oilskins and sou'westers and ventured out for the second trail around the byways of Lancaster in 2 days.
Sure enough, it was not long before we encountered flour from the day before. Well as we know it takes more than a downpour to wash away STT flour mountains. Fortunately STT himself was amongst us to advise and help keep us on trail.
Along the canal, past the hospital, a scenic route around Greaves Park, later leading past the padlocked compost bins in Scotch Quarry Urban park and back to base at the White Cross. It was a pleasure to discover new delights in a town we thought we knew well.
Our lone rambo, Large Package, was not so lucky and arrived back last after choosing a trail which sounded as though it had approximated in parts to the intended one. As he pointed out, checking out singly is time-consuming, etc,etc (yes, we wimps showed suitable sympathy for him - MAYBE!)
The rain held off and we all enjoyed a fine meal. Thank you Hares!
