R*n 723: Lancaster

Starts with a beer at the Gregson and ends with a beer at the Gregson.  Although Bitter, one of our very own dear hashers 'probably' had a few extra Carlsberg, given that he only managed 10 metres to the Canal and back.

Our walkers had an entertaining 5k hike around Lancaster's hidden gem off road trails with the Running hashers covering 8k with lots of new ground and tracks around the outside of Lancaster including running past the 'closed for refurbishment' Water Witch - much to the dismay of Bubbles who could be heard sobbing in the distance and then had to accelerate to get back in contention for the first pint back at the On Inn.

Joining trails with the walkers twice, the packs were kept close and finished within the statutory 'few' minutes of each other.  Good marking and good calling throughout for our 4th hash in 5 days.

The Gregson quiz was duly entered and won by the 'Hash Trash' team.

There were no down-downs, but if there had been they would have gone to-

• Lurch's brother (Uncle Fester?) AKA 15k for being the best dressed visitor
• White Noise for learning how to operate her torch at last
• Hard Astern for being rubbish at quizzes
• Ready About for being able to spell (hema, haemabl,) correct spelling.
• ....and of course the hares Forever Blowing and Major Twit  for setting a cracking Full Moon hash - On on!!
