No More Cum came again, as did Dag Guest, a Kiwi from Christchurch who told us tales of earthquakes. (proper ones not those fake ones from Grimsby) 

Austwick is famous for the Norber Erratics, which we did not visit as our route was erratic enough already. Our route crossed teeming hordes trecking the Settle Wander which we crossed several times. 

Our mobile Beer-stop was carried by Lurch, so we had it twice, once by a babbling brook and again on a bridal track. the second hill was unexpected and brought us down through a new piece of woodland back to Austwick, where we had no circle but drove straight to Clapham for better pub food.

Forever Blowing sent me a bum bag for my mobile phone but as my phone was in Windermere, it didn't get used.

My phone has a long history of getting lost (unlike its owner), the longest was under the seat of my previous car, the Toyota Prius for 2 whole weeks. That space is so narrow you have to practically remove the seat to find anything. My current huge Outlander has almost as little space under the seat and I have lost piles of coins. Its a good thing,I'm not Scottish!

Excellent food in Clapham and a good pub car park.
