R*n 638: Scale Hall

Thursday 5th October 2017 at 7:00pm Full Moon

Elephant hash!

The weather was fine although we couldn't see the Harvest moon when we set off. My feet were slightly squeltchy as my shoes were new and I had to drink from them. (Wouldn't have been so bad if it had not been horrible cider!) Running around Torrisholme area, I was surprised to learn that this was virgin territory for some hashers.

When we reached the top of Torrisholme Barrow, I realised that the International Space Station was due to go over so we waited until we saw it and waved to the crew. The moon was also out by now and lit up the sky.

The run was well marked and there was not too much shiggy but there were wild animals on the barrow.

Down downs included 1 for Highway for being an FRB and myself for being a Sputnik. There were others but I can't remember as I have drunk and slept since then.

8 of us (including Lay By) adjourned to the Elephant for enjoyable curries served with masses of rice.
