This was our 1st visit. We also visited on...

It was dark and it was chilly but on the other hand it was a brau bricht moonlicht nicht. This must have been the first time that LVH3 has ran on a full moon Run when the moon could actually be seen.
8 Hashers (including the Hares) gathered outside the Dog & Partridge in Bare where the Hares assured us that the run would be relatively short. We were also introduced to a visiting Hasher "Porky" who used to run with Durban Hash and who we hope will be able to join us for mid week Full Moon Runs.
Off we all went first through some streets and then we came upon some shiggy as we approached the canal and the railway line. It's quite a novel experience coming across shiggy in the dark unexpectedly. The Run then took us along the railway line until we came back into Hest Bank. Passing the Hest Bank Hotel some of us were sorely tempted to stop for refreshment; but the Hash Horn was blowing and we continued on along the beach front back to the On Inn.
As we were enjoying refreshments back at the car park Porky told me how the Durban Hash insisted on runs of between 40 & 50 minutes with a downhill stretch towards the end. Runs of much more than an hour would result in the Hares being crucified. Now, if we followed the same rules we would be seriously short of Hashers by now.
A circle was called and Down Downs were given to everyone except the R.A:
A great run with a great moon. Well done Hares.
