'twas a balmy early summer evening, as shown by our Hare and Off His Trolley wearing some remarkable shorts, worthy of a down-down. Sir Tom Tom had encountered unexpected path closures along his intended route, but the result was a pleasing hash.

His markings were so excellent that Fiddler managed to run way past some very clear chalk arrows. The fish hook was notable for the sight of Bubbles sitting comfortably on a stile watching those hashers who were dutifully running back.

The Punch Bowl was under new management, who supplied excellent beer, but unfortunately were only able to produce our pre-ordered meals after an interminable wait. By that time Cyber- and Anti-Septic had given up and some of us had drunk more beer than we might have done. The food was acceptable apart from the vegetarian option, for which a refund was given, along with an apology.

Hopefully the learning experience will result in better service another time.
