This was our 1st visit to this On Inn.
To my dismay, this run was described by our Hare thus:
“it’s a hash - there is flour, there is a beer stop, there are no fish hooks, there are no wimp/rambo splits, for safety try to stay together – check it out!”
2 hours later we got to the end – well at least 7 out of 10 did.
The memorable bits for me were the beautiful moonlight evening with a perfect reflection of the full moon in the still waters of the canal, running to the baying of the hounds of the Baskervilles (I think the warders in the Young Offenders Institution might have suspected a break out!), being able to keep up with the pack thanks to the help of “gravitity” on the downhill bits and the excellent burger, chips and a pint of “Blonde” for £4.10 in The Green Ayre!
