R*n 211: Kirkby Lonsdale

A good sized pack turned out in a variety of tartan, a few exceptions (including me - of all people!). We were all given a quiz sheet to fill out, look out for clues on the run. So of set the pack along the river, so after some time we were well spread out. But a cleverly placed fish hook had us all back together before too long. Well placed.

This first half of the run was definitely a shitgy one, plenty to slip on, or more. Over more fields and briefly into Wennington. Then up a small back road, glad to be on some tarmac for a while and to a beer stop. One of the bottles held the answer to one of the questions, but not all.

More fields again and another fish hook, not as well used this time, the pack bar the odd exception, just waited till the back markers caught up. A few kissing gates, I don’t know how much kissing went on, but I got one.. from a man, too!

A late rambo/wimp split allowed the wimps to arrive back at the cars some time ahead of the others, who were doing “just a mile extra” according to a hare. The rambos would describe it somewhat differently!

A well laid out run enjoyed by all.

And we won’t forget him taking off his wee jimmy wig, another bald head, what a shock! Baldbrick now has competition!
