This was our 1st visit to this On Inn.
As a now ad hoc hasher I decided to attend the festive hash with less than 10 minutes to go before the scheduled start. Although not late, I was the last hound to arrive at the start and was therefore unanimously and enthusiastically allocated the important role of recording the frivolities of R*n 888.
Despite the dismal, dark, damp winter weather nine keen hounds, dressed in Christmas jumpers, listened enthralled to the pre-hash information. Once completed, R*n 888 commenced - the Rambos went off up the hill while the Wimps set off in the opposite direction.
The three enthusiastic Rambos ran up hill and down dale to Annas Ghyll farm and beyond, managing to lose trail only once. The Wimps moved more slowly chatting merrily as they made their way carefully over muddy fields keen to avoid injuries.
Once back at the start / Chez Fiddler On The Hoof and Second Fiddle, down downs were administered to the hares and several hounds – I can’t recall who - followed by soup and mince pies curtesy of Fiddler On The Hoof and Second Fiddle.
