Silverdale

As always it was refreshing to see our bright, cheery hare Toothfairy as we arrived. Trail set and all ready for the hounds. At 11am prompt the hare gave her briefing and confused us with some convoluted back check malarkey. With no sign of the threatened Adams family off we went.

Almost immediately we had a wimp/rambo split and we all followed a well marked trail. The wimps went slightly astray when Bubbles failed to go far enough whilst checking only to find the trail 5 yards beyond where he'd already checked. The rambos also went astray near Arnside tower but eventually came back on trail with the telephonic aid of the hare.

The wimps discovered the beer stop well before the rambos and after refreshments Bubbles went to find them.

The wimps set off and promptly went off trail in a field where there were multiple public footpaths. We simply hadn't checked far enough down each possible trail. Some passing walkers tipped us off that there was another check down one of the trails so we placed our trust in them and were soon back on trail.

At this point we discovered the rambos were now ahead of us but the trail was well marked back to Waterslack.

Highway brought up the rear and we completed our circle in a hareless state as she'd gone on the the pub to pacify the chef.

The roast dinners were A1 spectacular super duper marvellous and it was with sadness that our time in Silverdale was over.

I won't mention Baldbricks public toileting habits as words do not describe the events as they unfolded.

All in all a great day out in a superb location with some extremely friendly locals en route.
