Carnforth

The Run

The prospect of a glorious late summer day brought a good number of hashers to Carnforth. In the absence of the GM, Upperskirt brought the ensemble to order and introduced visitors Tight Arse and Ayam Odobo from Hyderabad H3. An initial request for a volunteer scribe to record the day’s event met with no response but eventually yours truly agreed to perform the duty.

After a quick briefing from the hares, the pack set off down the canal path in a southerly direction. The Rambo / Wimp split showed up after about 500M. The Rambos (including your scribe) crossed the canal on a stone bridge. The Wimps continued along the canal. After crossing the canal, the Rambo trail continued uphill then across two large meadows before descending into a wooded valley then further downhill to rejoin the Wimps on the canal path. The trail eventually reached a fishhook on the canal bank and the reunited pack followed an arrow downhill to the A6. The beer stop vehicle was parked 100M further along on the opposite side of the road. So, it was time to turn back towards Carnforth and the trail headed across a field, over the railway, across a caravan park, then down to the road running parallel to the seashore. The hash enjoyed a spectacular view of Morecambe Bay in the sunshine. Plenty more caravans were encountered before the trail reached Bolton Le Sands then on to Carnforth and the run site. Your scribe and hash horn Baldbrick avoided another Rambo opportunity on the outskirts of Carnforth and took the easier in trail. Dormouse was the last one in, rather surprising as he had been a front runner for most of the run.

The Circle

Upperskirt conducted proceedings. The hares were rewarded then RA Dormouse brought in Helmet Polisher, Darth Vader and Sir Tom Tom on various charges. Circle closed 1338hrs. Then on on to the Canal Turn. Your scribe was unable to attend so it is assumed that a good time was had by all and drink was taken.
