Volunteering to be scribe I thought I would try to maintain the high intellectual input seen in several recent write-ups, however when my attempt at poetry got to... "Roses are red, Violets are blue, We went hashing, Where were you".... I gave up and reverted to my usual style!

Meeting at the Septics new abode (work in progress but some crazy colours in evidence chosen by some crazy, drug-induced occupants), we circled in the garden. Sir Tom Tom revealed his very pale legs for their first outing this year and off we went down to the Station Hotel (an early drink before we start?), no... onto the cycle path instead.

A very early W & R split with the FRB Pudsley graciously checking all the routes so the pack were kept on the move. If only I had half his fitness (but without the hairy legs please)!

Off up the hill into the village with the route keeping me guessing as I don't live in the vacinity, although several of the locals thought they knew where they were going (only to go off route later)! Another W & R spilt saw us lose several of our hounds, caused in some small way by the hares re-marking when not all hounds had gone through (another typical Septic r*n some would say)! This was confirmed at the first  hash gather which brought Highway to the front  having gone wrong at the split and we established that Upper Skirt was "Missing in Action" completely missing the beer stop.

Another W & R spilt immediately after the beer stop where we talked fondly about Upper Skirt and where she might be (lost and lonely on the fell somewhere or having a nice cup of tea in the comfort of Septics home)? Upper Skirt later rejoined us on the way back to civilisation having been picked up by Anti!

Across the fields back towards home, several SCBs missing out sections (surprisingly Speedbump who claimed tired legs and unsurprisingly Baldbrick who claimed he couldn't be ars*ed)! In the absence of the other Adams Family FRB (Lurch), Morticia moved out of the knitting circle leaving OHT and WN behind and became an FRB for the day (don't know what secret training she has been doing but its working big style)! Some suggested it was because she was no longer carrying her rucksack but I did note she had taken off her wooly pully so maybe it was that holding her back? Poor Dormouse also joined the knitting circle (discussing wooly pully patterns no doubt) for a change along with Bitter, who were both suffering from bad backs (getting old is very hard)!

Back to the Septics for some great grub inside (due to the cr*p weather outside)! Food included excellent home made ice cream from Whitenoise and the biggest fruit salad in the world from Mrs Highway). Another fab r*n and food enjoyed by all!
